There will be a massive security presence in portions of New York State this week as leaders from around the world gather in The Empire State.

As the fall begins and we get ready to enter the final quarter of the year, there is a major meeting planned at the United Nations that will bring in the leaders from dozens of nations and their spouses. After the recent assassination attempts on former President Trump, the Secret Service is on high alert.

But the Secret Service will not be alone in the effort to keep them, and the general public safe.

There will be a general assembly this week at the United Nations in New York City.

The United Nations is the world's largest intergovernmental organization with 193 member Nations.

The Secret Service, along with the New York City Police, will be making sure that all angles are covered when it comes to protecting the assembly. The means you will see agents and officers on the ground, in the air and on the water. Much of the detail involves making sure they monitor things we don't see like radiation.

According to the United Nations website: "The theme for the general debate of the 79th session of the General Assembly is "Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present and future generations".
