Buffalo Bills Suffer a Devastating Injury They Can’t Afford
The Buffalo Bills are playing a designated home game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday morning (local time).
To say the game hasn't gone as planned would be an understatement.
The Bills are losing 11-0 in the second quarter and the biggest story so far are the mounting defensive injuries.
Tre'Davious White, Greg Rousseau and Christian Benford all were inactive today (White done for the season with an Achilles injury) and the Bills suffered another crucial injury early in the game.
Star linebacker Matt Milano was injured in the first quarter, after he was rolled up on. What makes it worse was it happened on a Bills penalty, which resulted in a Jaguars first down.
Milano had to be helped off the field and could not place weight on his leg. He was immediately declared out with a knee injury, and according to the broadcast, had a cast placed on his leg -- from his shin up to his thigh.
That's not all, as the Bills also lost starting defensive tackle DaQuan Jones to a pectoral injury. His return is doubtful, and it appears the Bills will now have to play without five defensive starters for the remainder of this game.
If Milano is out an extended period of time, the Bills will be in trouble. He was in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation and without him, the Bills won't be able to do what they want to do in defensive play-calling.
General manager Brandon Beane will have to make a move to solidify the defense, whether it's at linebacker or cornerback...
