In 2011, we threw one of the biggest birthday bashes ever to be seen with around 21,000 of our closest friends. Were you there at the Taste of Country 2011?

The 25th Anniversary of the Taste of Country is coming up this year and we're getting ready for the big party by remembering some of the parties we've thrown in the past. In 2011, we had one of the smoothest shows I can remember.

The 2011 Taste of Country Lineup

We had a solid lineup again in 2011 that was a ton of fun. It looked like this:

Chris Young
Easton Corbin
Josh Thompson
Chuck Wicks

Chuck Wicks had a new hit that everyone was talking about called "Stealing Cinderella." Josh Thompson's big one was "Beer on the Table." Everyone was talking about this young guy named Easton Corbin who they thought sounded just like George Strait, and of course Chris Young was really starting to hit his stride. Josh Turner's "Long Black Train," "Why Don't We Just Dance," and "Your Man" were all huge hits.

WYRK was celebrating its 30th birthday that night

I remember one of the biggest things that year was that WYRK was turning 30 years old as a radio station. What a way to celebrate with around 21,000 friends! We hope to do it again this year with you as we celebrate our 25th anniversary of putting on this show.
