There is a large, voluntary recall that may affect some shoppers in New York State.

It seems that we are getting more, or are aware of more, recalls than ever. From food, to vehicles and everything in between, consumers are being warned about products and the concerns over their safety.

The latest recall impacts those who use a certain steamer and can get a refund if they return it.

According to a post from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, Bissell is recalling a steamer.

The post on "X", formerly Twitter,indicates a large number of models that are affected by the recall.

"In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, BISSELL is voluntarily recalling its Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaner. The affected products sold in the U.S. and Canada are models 39N7, 39N71, 39N72, 39N73, 39N75, 39N76, 39N77, 39N78, 39N79, 39N7A, 39N7C, 39N7B, 39N7D, 39N7E, 39N7F, 39N7H, 39N7J, 39N7M, 39N7N, 39N7P, 39N7Q, 39N7T, 39N7V, 39N7W, 39B7U, 39N7V, 39N7X, 29946, 29947, 29948, 29949, 2994B, 2994C, 2994D, and 2994W. They were sold during August 2008 through May 2024".
