Miranda Lambert, Anderson East Adopt Three New Furry Farm Hands
“If your mind's as cluttered as your kitchen sink / If your heart's as empty as your diesel tank / If you like cats / We should be friends.”
Okay, so the line about the cats isn’t an actual lyric in Miranda Lambert’s latest single, “We Should Be Friends,” but it would be appropriate for the animal-loving country star.
Lambert recently announced via social media that she (and country music boyfriend Anderson East) adopted three new cats -- one is a kitten -- to roam around their farm.
“The cat’s outta the bag,” Lambert announced via Instagram. “We have 3 new feline farm hands! Bobbi McGee (the kitten), Nick Saban and the big boy, Bear Bryant. So happy to have new farm friends. Thanks to the Maury County Animal Shelter in Columbia TN for being so kind and helping us adopt 3 new shelter pets! You guys were super and your shelter was so nice. Go check them out. And don’t forget, love a shelter pet!!”

An avid animal lover, this isn’t the first time Lambert has added to her family of pets. The sassy country star is known not only for adopting cats and dogs throughout her music career, but also creating a home for chickens, pigs and horses on her land. She’s also made a difference by creating the MuttNation Foundation, which provides support for a number of animal shelters and humane societies.
Fresh off the release of her new album, The Weight of These Wings, fans can catch Lambert (and maybe a cat or two) this spring on the Highway Vagabond Tour.
