More Blackbirds Found Dead In Arkansas

Monday nearly 4000-5000 red winged black birds were found dead in Arkansas.  Now, a couple days later, approximately 500 more have been found dead, this time in Louisiana.  It's a strange phenomenon that Arkansas officials are having a hard time understanding.  The birds seem to have died from blunt force trauma meaning that they could have flown into something after being startled.

The birds have since been taken to labs in Georgia and Wisconsin to determine the exact cause of death.

To make the situation even more strange, nearly 100,000 fish have also washed up on the shores of the Arkansas River dead from an apparent disease.
