People are talking about a stop sign from an intersection in Niagara Falls that has gone viral online. It's just an average stop sign, but (thankfully) you don't see many that look like this.

What is so special about this stop sign?

The stop sign is at a turn on Grove and 13th Street in Niagara Falls. Just look at these pictures to see why people are talking about it.

The pictures show a stop sign that is covered in bullet holes, and it shouldn't look like that!

The comments are the best

If you're anything like me, you ran right to the comment section to see what people were saying about the sign. And you probably weren't disappointed. They were right on. Some of the best ones were these:

  • All those shots taken, and not one close to the center of the O?
  • Don't stop at signs with bullet holes in it...
  • From what I've heard, Wyatt Earp was quite impressed.
  • You know what? Ima just take the ticket
  • I see that stop sign and I do the exact opposite
  • Time for the city to hang a new target

There's good news about that sign

Most of the people in the comments agreed that it is pretty sad that the sign looked like that. It's not something that a lot of the residents were proud of. However, there is some good news. While the sign looked like that for a few years, the picture with the most bullet holes in it is old, and it has since been replaced. The new picture (taken in August of 2025) on Google Streetview shows an updated sign without any holes in it. Hopefully it can stay that way.
