More Surgery for Jim Kelly
He's improving after that 12-hour surgery in March in New York City, but Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly will require more follow-up surgery next month. His wife, Jill, posted an update on his progress yesterday on Instagram.
She revealed that Kelly visited New York City on Wednesday for a check-up and strategy meeting and that doctors were impressed with the progress he's made since the surgery in March to remove cancer from his upper jaw. Part of the follow-up surgery next month will involve placing implants in his upper jaw.
After the June surgery "there will be more healing and waiting and then another surgery and possibly upper teeth sometime in September." Jill Kelly gave thanks for all the love and prayers throughout the ordeal.
Jim Kelly made a surprise appearance during Bills rookie mini-camp last week and spent some time talking with first round draft choice quarterback Josh Allen. Kelly came away impressed with the rookie quarterback.
