NASCAR Driver Boasts About A WNY Business Prior To Race At The Glen
It's the first for NASCAR and will be part of WNY history this weekend!!
The Go Bowling at The Glen race happens this weekend at Watkins Glen International Speedway. As race coverage begins on NBC this Sunday, Western New Yorkers might recognize a logo on the back right window area of the 00 Chevrolet car driven by Quin Houff.
This weekend, the StarCom 00 Chevrolet Camaro will feature the logo of Runners Roost shoe store.
This is a big moment for Runners Roost owners Rob and Michelle Fox as it may be the first time ever that a boutique style running store and small business of this caliber will be featured in a prime spot on a NASCAR in the Monster Energy series!
I spoke to Rob Fox from Runners Roost and he told me that this is a great opportunity.
“We are excited about the future. The NASCAR market is untapped by any shoe company. As far as we know, this will be a first for a running specialty shoe store."
Runners Roost on a NASCAR
We had a chance to speak with Quin Houf on the show this week about the race this weekend, his season so far and what it’s like to bring on new sponsors and small businesses.
Look for the 00 Chevrolet Camaro and StarCom racing this weekend on the track at The Glenn and the Runners Roost logo to sprint to victory Lane!!
If you have never been to a race at The Glen it is a great venue for fans and just a short drive down The Thruway. The road course allows fans to get a great up close view of the drivers as they cruise by at high rate of speed and also offers great camping when the race is not happening. most of the people that I have spoken with who have ever spent the weekend at the glen rave about how great the experience is and no doubt this weekend will offer that as well.
Race coverage is on NBC Sports Network this weekend and is the first time back since the beginning of The Olympics a couple weeks ago. There are only a few races left until the series playoffs kick off September 5 at Darlington Speedway.
