Kurt Busch will be back behind the wheel of the Number 41 Chevrolet this Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway after his reinstatement by NASCAR.  It comes after the State of Delaware Attorney General declined to file charges against Busch in an alleged domestic violence incident involving his former girlfriend.  Busch will remain on indefinite probation.

Busch was suspended two days before the Daytona 500 for what NASCAR said were actions detrimental to stock car racing after a Family Court judge ruled there was evidence that Busch "committed an act of domestic violence."  He's agreed to abide with all conditions laid down by the court and to participate in a treatment program.

Another interesting aspect is NASCAR's decision to waive the Chase requirement that drivers must compete in all championship events to be qualified for the season championship.  So even after missing the first three races of the season, Busch conceivably could end up the Sprint Cup champion.

Busch continues to deny the accusations - "As I have said from the beginning, I did not commit domestic abuse. I look forward to being back in racing as soon as possible and moving on with my life."
