National Grid Worker Runs Marathon In Company’s Parking Lot
As we learn to adapt to a "New Normal" people are finding new ways to continue to reach their personal goals.

Dave Martin planned on running in this year's Boston Marathon and had trained for 5 months for the event.
When the race was postponed until September 14th, Dave still wanted to do something on the original date of the race...so he used the National Grid parking lot to run his own marathon.
He started the race on Monday around 6:30 am and when his co-workers realized what he was doing they came out and cheered him on. Dave went on to finish the "National Grid" marathon in under four and a half hours.
Besides the race, Dave also raised more than $8,000 for The Tenacity Organization, which is a non-profit that helps kids with in-school, after-school, and summer learning programs.
So what is next for Dave...he plans on running in the Boston Marathon on the new date in September.
