New Aerospace Facility Coming To Niagara County: 600 New Jobs
Big news out of Niagara County on Monday.
According to WKBW, an Aerospace company named Stavatti Aerospace has selected the former U.S. Army Reserve Center in the Town of Niagara for its new facility called Stavatti Niagara.
It will serve as a development and production center, and is expected to bring roughly 600 new jobs to Niagara County over the next five years.
It was stiff competition to land the aerospace company, too. The Niagara County site beat out sites from 30 other states and even three Canadian provinces. The site is also near the Niagara Falls International Airport.
The site will employ aerospace engineers and manufacturing professionals that will, according to Stavatti, working on "next-generation military, commerical and general aviation aircraft."
This is very exciting news for Niagara County, and anyone looking for a job in this field. My dad is an electrical engineer in East Aurora and I'm sure he's happy more jobs in this field will be coming to Western New York.
