Shawne Merriman will get the chance to turn on the lights in Buffalo.

Bills linebacker Kelsay perked up when word began filtering through the locker room that the winless team was prepared to claim Shawne Merriman off waivers.

"We need more playmakers," Kelsay said Wednesday. "And if he can come in here and do that for us, we'll welcome him with open arms.
