New York State Bans Smoking In This Location
The price of cigarettes is the higher in New York State than any other state after the latest tax hike that was placed on them. The new average price per pack is running between $12 and $16!
The prices are climbing and so are the restrictions in areas of New York State. The state makes a lot of money from cigarettes sales and there may never be a day when we see an actual ban on smoking in the Empire State. However, for those headed to the New York State Fair, smoking is limited to places off the fairgrounds.
The New York State Fair have designated areas for smokers located about 50 feet outside of five pedestrian gates. That means there won't be smoking allowed either inside or outside on the fairgrounds property.
The county fair season is underway across New York State and the largest of them just started this week. The 183rd Erie County Fair opened it's gates this week as the organizers prepare for more than a million guests.
