
New York State Schools Could Have Off , Below 0 Degree Wind Chills Expected
It is super cold out all across New York State and going into Tuesday morning, some parts of the State are expecting to have wind chills that are well below 0 degrees.
The Nationals Service was calling for some severe weather all over New York State.
On the east side of the State, they are expecting up to 5 inches in New York City and 8 in the surrounding areas. Where on the west side of Western New York, the National Weather Service sent out an alert:

Heavy Lake Effect snow and life threatening cold / windchills expected from Monday to Wednesday.
For almost all counties in New York State, the temperature on Tuesday at some point in the day will reach single digits. Every area is expected to get some amount of now within the next 48". Most areas will get about 2 inches, but some will get to nearly a foot of snow. The Watertown area is expected to get up to 12" of snow.
Some schools were reporting that they are going to go remote or delay school times because of the cold weather. Other district officials might take the day off from school, but it all depends on how many snow days districts have left to take.
What is the forecast look like for the rest of the week in New York State?
Well, this looks like Tuesday into Wednesday will be the lowest temperatures that we will see. In fact, some spots of New York State will rebound and "warm up" into the mid-30's for a temperature by this weekend.
