New York State's Shortest Day Ever

The world has been knocked out of its timing, and we just had the shortest day ever here in New York State. The summer sun will be blazing this week as the heat returns just before the weekend!

But even as the sun sets later, the days may have just gotten shorter.

There never seems to be enough time in a day. But now that I have four kids, I wonder what I did with all the extra time that I had before becoming a dad?

As we celebrate summer, it seems that there is never enough time to get it all done. Does this happen to you? You are with the family, or doing a project, and you are already thinking about the next event, or "thing" you need to do? Perhaps this new "shortest day" phenomenon is a good reminder that perhaps that "next thing" is not as important as what is happening, right now, in front of you?

The summer will fly by, and before we know it, we will be in the fall routine and back to school. Like last summer, with the solar eclipse, it will be great to share the memories of the day you witnessed the shortest day ever!
