New York State Should Be Split Into 4 States

With the recent bill introduced that could split New York into two separate states (See the proposal HERE), It got me thinking New York is so much bigger and could be split into 4 states!

I was talking with my friend that I went to SUNY Brockport who lives in New York City and he asked me how I liked moving back and living in Upstate New York! I was a bit confused by the question!

Growing up in West Seneca, I always considered and was proud that Buffalo and the surrounding area was Western New York! Upstate New York to me is considered the area near Albany.  Central New York was Rochester and Syracuse, and Buffalo was Western New York. Check out a picture I found on Twitter!

So if New York were to spit up into new states, I say may it four different ones.

Western New York which includes Buffalo, Central New York which includes Rochester and Syracuse, Upstate New York which includes Albany and then New York City by itself.

Each region is unique to itself and it makes senses to me!
