Niagara Casinos Donate Food Surplus to Local Charities
Niagara Casinos are working hard to help WNY in its hour of need. As they informed us in a press release on Friday:
Niagara Casinos has donated surplus food items including dairy, fruit, vegetables and other perishable items. These food items were given to over 10 different local charities and organizations in order to support those in need in our community. These included Project Share, Women's Place, FACS Niagara Region, Community Care, Casa El Norte, Soup Kitchen, RAFT, Fonthill Seniors Residence, Out of the Cold and more.
Richard Taylor, president of Niagara Casinos, said in a statement:
We are so proud to be part of this incredible community...it is inspiring to see this community pulling together to support each other. We appreciate the work from our associates putting the food donation together and truly appreciate the effort from all the individuals, charities and businesses as we work together to keep Niagara strong.
For as much damage as this crisis is doing to our WNY community and the world at large, it is inspiring some truly wonderful acts of charity and service.
