Kids are out of school and that means a lot of time spent at home instead of in the classroom.

It's hard to find new activities for kids to do but the Niagara County Sheriff's office is helping out by reading children's books to kids on YouTube, according to WKBW.

Deputies and employees at the Sheriff's office will read to kids and the videos will be uploaded to YouTube, as well as well as their social media accounts.

This is a press release sent out by the Niagara County Sheriff's office.

Acting Sheriff Filicetti said, "during this coronavirus shutdown, many of our outreach programs that were previously scheduled have been canceled. Connecting with children is something we all look forward to, and this is one way we can still continue those efforts."
