Oscar award-winning actress Nicole Kidman is expected to play the role of Jamestown native Lucille Ball in a new movie based on Ball's life.

According to E! News, Kidman along with actor Javier Bardem will play the roles of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in the new movie based on their lives.

The movie, which is titled "Being the Ricardos" will focus on the couple's week as they worked on the hit TV show "I Love Lucy"

The meta Being the Ricardos movie will follow Ball and Arnaz during a challenging week of filming the 1950s TV show I Love Lucy. The plot starts during a Monday table read and ends with a TV shoot on Friday in front of a live audience

Lucille Ball and Dezi Arnaz were married in 1940 and worked together on the tv show from 1951 until 1957. They ended up getting divorced in 1960.

Ball was born in Jamestown, NY which now is home to the National Comedy Center which houses her museum.

"Being the Ricardos" is being directed by Aaron Sorkin and is expected to be released to a nationwide audience later this year.
