North Tonawanda Boy Competing In National Mullet Competition
It's all business up front and a party in the back for a young boy who is looking for some support in a national mullet competition.
Yup. You read that right. There's a national mullet competition and there's a Western New Yorker who is looking for your support.
What is the National Mullet Competition?
The USA Mullet Championship is real and the kids' competition is going on right now. They're looking for the most epic hairdo. People submit their photos showcasing the best mullet that they can give. Then the public votes on their favorite. But the best part is that it's done for charity. The proceeds go to Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors, a charity that helps provide homes for our wounded veterans.
Baby Joe Dirt is competing this year
They call him Baby Joe Dirt, but his name is Greyson Woods. According to his mom, he's just 2 years old, but he's had a full head of hair since the day he was born.
"Greyson was born with a head of hair that shocked everyone, 25 weeks in the womb the 3D/4D sonogram tech told us he had a head full and in all her years of experience she has never seen it so early." - Greyson's mom Angel Zawadzki
According to Angel, he knows he has a mullet and even does a mullet shake. He gets tons of attention everywhere he goes.
How to vote for Greyson Woods
Greyson has made it into round 2 of the kids' competition. The winner is ultimately decided by who gets the most online votes, who gets the most donations to the charity, and finally, a panel of judges will critique each mullet based on length, style, uniqueness, and showmanship.
