In some spots across the United States you were able to see the Northern Lights this past weekend because of a solar flare that erupted from the sun on Friday. Now, it is triggering a  a geomagnetic storm upon arrival this weekend on Saturday going into Sunday morning. It is going to be longer and brighter than it was this past weekend and you are going to be able to see it here in New York State. It looks like Saturday going into Sunday will actually be the clearest day of the week and the highest temperature with the weather reaching mid-50s.

Experts are saying that the best time to see the Northern Lights in New York State is going to be just after 10 PM through 1 AM on Sunday morning.

The last time that the Northern Lights were seen in New York State it was incredible. The sky was so bright with green and yellow colors, but it did not last too long. Surely, you will see people post all over social media that it is happening, so make sure you go outside! Some people believe that the best way to see them is to take a picture with your cell phone and it will magnify the lights.
