Imagine you are a nurse or a doctor who is trying to help save lives during a pandemic.  You are exposed to the virus daily.  Would you want to possibly infect your whole family by going home?

But you don't want to be away from your family either...so what do you do?

That predicament is exactly what RVs for MDs is hoping to help with.

RVs for MDs is a Facebook page that is dedicated to matching nurses and doctors up with RVs so that they can live near their family when they come home but still keep their distance to protect the family from getting sick.

According to WIVB, it's already worked for one nurse in Hamburg who is being loaned an RV from a family in Springville.  The nurse's name is Aaron.  He works at Mercy Hospital but has also been volunteering to work extra at St. Joseph's Hospital.

"It’s amazing, it shows what kind of people we really have in this country. Willing to sacrifice something if their own to help others. They’re not going to be there on the floor but they’re there helping me so I can be on the floor. It’s a powerful thing seeing people caring for others in every way they can,”  - Aaron Shanahan
