Local, county and state police will be on hand at Albion Schools in Orleans County on Monday as a precaution after an online threat of violence appeared on the Facebook page of an Albion student over the weekend.  On closer examination the FBI says that the Facebook account was hacked.

In a statement released Sunday night the FBI says the threat was traced to a malware attack on a phone in Croatia.  Although they say the threat is not credible, there will be an increased police presence at the district's three schools on Monday.

Meanwhile, police and the FBI were working with Facebook to have the account taken down.  They also issued a reminder to monitor your social networking accounts on a regular basis and change your passwords often.
