Last night a 37-year-old man was arrested by St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York on after trying to enter with four gallons of gasoline, two bottles of lighter fluid and two lighters.

I hope this guy goes to jail for a long time and gets the book thrown at him. It's hard not to think that this was someone trying to do harm after the burning of the iconic Notre Dame in Paris.

The church was opened in the mid 1800s and police swarmed the area after a church security officer saw him, told him to leave and then spilled some gas on the floor.

While he was cooperative, his answers were inconsistent and evasive, Mr. Miller said at a news conference.

“His basic story was that he was cutting through the cathedral to get to Madison Avenue, that his car had run out of gas,” Mr. Miller said. “We took a look at the vehicle. It was not out of gas, and at that point he was taken into custody", according to the New York Times.
