That means no indoor dining and the closure of high-risk, non-essential businesses, such as gyms and hair salons.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz told WGRZ that it's a very real possibility that the state will look at data from this week and determine on Wednesday that those parts of Erie County in a yellow zone, move to a red zone, which would mean no essential businesses could be open and only curbside pickup for retailers.

"If we go into the red zone next week, which I'm hoping we don't, but if we do we're not going to be talking about gyms anymore, we're going to be talking about pretty much every non-essential business," said Poloncarz. "All retail having to do curbside pickup only. So that means the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday), you could not go into a store and shop." added Poloncarz.

According to Poloncarz, the state will make a determination on Wednesdays, after analyzing numbers on Tuesdays.

Erie County reported a new daily high for COVID-19 cases in a single day with 651.
