The holiday season is here but the Grinch of 2020 is already making things tough on those who plan events in 2021.

One of the most difficult aspects of the current pandemic is not knowing when it will end or what the regulations will be or when they will be lifted. It is very hard for those who organize events to plan. Even if they could open, how many people would be allowed to attend and what will the requirements be?

In a statement released to WYRK, organizers said the following:

“We are saddened to announce the cancellation of this event, but with the ever-changing regulations, we simply don’t believe it is possible to plan to hold the event in 2021”, said Jessica Underberg, CEO of the Erie County Agricultural Society, “we look forward to the 2022 WNY EquiFest scheduled for March 19 & 20, 2022.”

Like anyone else these days, I miss being around people at events like Equifest and concerts. Not being at the fair this past summer was super weird. I have not missed a fair in 42 years! But here is to hoping a vaccine will somehow turn things around and we can get life back on track.
