Buffalo is known for having great food. In fact, most visitors to Western New York go out of their way to try the food at local restaurants while they are here because it is unlike anywhere else in the world.

And while we love our local restaurants, there are some chain restaurants in the area that we don’t mind having around because it’s known for having good vibes and special deals. Some of those restaurants include Applebee’s, McDonald’s, Chick-Fil-A, and so many more.

However, there is one restaurant that many people have been wanting to open up a location in Western New York…including one Buffalo Bills player who has been a huge advocate for the restaurant.

Reid Ferguson is the long-snapper for the Buffalo Bills, and Raising Cane’s is one of his favorite restaurants. Ferguson has made it clear with multiple tweets over the years that he would love a Raising Cane’s location to open up in Buffalo.

Raising Cane’s is known for their chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw. Right now, the closest location for Raising Cane’s is in Ohio, but there is one that recently opened in New York City.

But wouldn’t it be cool to have one in Buffalo?

Todd Graves, the CEO of Raising Cane’s, responded to one of Ferguson’s tweets back in September, promising that a Buffalo location would open soon.

But where should it open up?

I actually have a few ideas….

A few months ago, we found out that four of the local Red Lobster locations announced that they would suddenly be closing around Western New York, and all of their equipment was subsequently auctioned off. While those Red Lobster locations, in Amherst, Williamsville, Lakewood, and Buffalo, could be great ideas for potential Raising Cane’s locations, there is a location in Lancaster that looks like it will be available very soon.

The Save-A-Lot in the Village of Lancaster recently announced they will be closing their doors after 22 years. Next month, the location will be vacant as of September 7th.

While there are rumors that a Dash's or a grocery store could fill that spot, maybe we should think a little outside the box and bring a Raising Cane's to that location. It's big enough to do so! The interior set up may need some work, but you could definitely turn the place into a restaurant location for Raising Cane's.

Reid, think you make it happen?
