Regal Theaters In WNY Not Reopening as Soon As Other Parts of The State
It's been a very long time since we've been to a Regal Theater in Western New York. I haven't been to one since the last Star Wars movie just after Christmas in 2019.
If you're looking forward to getting back to a Regal location in Buffalo, you'll have to wait a bit longer than other regions across the country and here in New York State.
According to their website, many Regal locations will start reopening this Friday and the rest of April. Locations in New York City, Long Island and New Rochelle will reopen on April 2nd; while other locations in Albany, New York City, Syracuse and Westbury will reopen on April 16th.
No Regal locations in Buffalo will reopen, however, until May 7th.
These Regal locations will reopen May 7th in Western New York.
- Buffalo - Regal Walden Galleria & RPX
- Buffalo - Regal Transit Center & IMAX
- Buffalo - Regal Elmwood Center
- Orchard Park - Quaker Crossing
The Regal in Niagara Falls will reopen on May 14th.
The new Godzilla vs. King Kong movie comes out this week, which is a bummer if you live in Western New York and wanted to see it. The good news is A Quiet Place: Part II comes out Memorial Day weekend, and theaters here in Western New York will be open by then, albeit with restrictions.
I just want to get back to a movie theater but we'll have to wait a bit longer here in Western New York.
