The comedy world lost a true pioneer yesterday, as Phyllis Diller passed away at the age of 95.  According to a number of reports from various news sources, Diller’s health had been declining following a fall where she injured her hip and wrist.  Phyllis Diller began her career in 1953. She was in countless TV specials with Bob Hope in the 60’s, she regularly appeared in “Laugh In” and she had her own shows; ”The Phyllis Diller Show” and “The Beautiful Phyllis Diller.”   For those who remember her humor or those who want a little taste, I’ve included a clip of her stand-up on The Ed Sullivan Show!!  Check it …
