The 2022 halftime Super Bowl performer stopped in Buffalo for a performance at a self-proclaimed 'country music' bar in Western New York and ALMOST NOBODY CAME.

Rihanna was recently named the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show performer for the big game in Arizona this coming February. Of course, the Super Bowl halftime performance is constantly criticized as it is one of the most anticipated parts of the game. Listening to some people complain about Rihanna being the halftime entertainment reminded me of a story.

Back in high school, I remember that all the girls in our class were going to this new artist named Rihanna. At the time, you were most likely asking 'who is Rihanna'? She was not a household name. There was only one radio Rihanna song at the time named 'Pon de Replay.'

She was playing at this place called CLUB INFINITY in Williamsville, New York, and ALMOST NOBODY CAME.

They could barely sell any tickets.

According to Setlist.com, Rihanna had her tour come through Williamsville, New York, and play at Club Infinity on September 2, 2006.

It wouldn't be the final time that Rihanna came to Buffalo. She must have liked it enough to return. 7 years later, Rihanna kicked off her Diamonds World Tour in Buffalo, New York but, this time it was at a little bit of a bigger venue: The Keybank Center.

There is no word yet if Rihanna will have any special guests performing with her at this year's Super Bowl on February 12, 2022 in Arizona.
