Every single month, Cellino Plumbing & HVAC gives $500 to one deserving Western New York non-profit. After gathering submissions and having willing Western New Yorkers vote on the finalists, one organization is highlighted and selected to receive support from Cellino Plumbing & HVAC and of course, from WYRK.

May's winning non-profit was Little Angels Animal Sanctuary of Mayville, a small 501c3 non-profit dedicated to rescuing felines in need and then helping them find their forever home. I was fortunate enough to sit down with Paula Murdock, owner of Little Angels Animal Sanctuary, to talk about the good work they do for animals in need in our area every day.

Thankfully, it seems that just about everyone in Buffalo understands how important it is to protect animals in need, no matter what kind of animal it is. I've got a bunny at home, and I know of very few people who don't have a beloved pet as part of their family. That's why it's so encouraging to see non-profits like Little Angels Animal Sanctuary highlighted like this. They may not get the attention that the SPCA receives, but they work hard every day to save cats and kittens and place them with loving families who will give them the best lives possible.
