Jets Head Coach’s Comments Makes Buffalo Bills Fans Take Notice
It was not the prettiest of wins but the Buffalo Bills prevailed over the New York Jets at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, 20-12.
The game was 0-0 just before halftime, when Josh Allen threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox just before halftime. The Bills offense was mostly stifled by the Jets stellar defense, but came up with two touchdown drives when they needed it. Tyler Bass added two field goals.
The Bills are a frustrating team to watch against the Jets. While the Bills defense had a great game, it's clear this Jets defense plays Buffalo's offense better than anyone in the NFL.
Both Jets and Bills fans had their eyebrows raised after the game, when Jets head coach Robert Saleh had some very interesting comments.
Saleh said, "we're gonna see these guys again."
Reporter: "what makes you say that?"
Saleh: "I just think we are."
Saleh is referring to the playoffs. Jets rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson was asked about Saleh's comments after the game and was unsure of what his head coach was talking about.
Wilson had to be reminded by reporters the Bills were the one seed and that Saleh was referring to the playoffs.
I think the Jets defense is outstanding. They have one of the best players in football, regardless of position in defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, and an all-pro at cornerback Sauce Gardener, who is only a rookie.
The Jets biggest question mark is at quarterback.
The Bills are the one seed, while the Jets are now on the outside looking in, holding the number eight seed in the AFC playoff race.
We will see if Saleh's prediction holds true.
