Rochester Murder Rate Most in Six Years

The focus nationally has been on Chicago for the increase in murders in 2016. However, Rochester, NY recorded a surge in homicides over last year as well.

According to reports, there were 43 murders and is the biggest increase in murders in six-years.

There is no clear reason as to why 2016 was such a violent and deadly year.

Buffalo recorded 44 murders, many of which are still under investigation.
