Romanian Tennis Star Simona Halep Credits Breast Reduction Surgery For Rise In World Ranking

If you were following the tennis action at Wimbledon this year, you may have noticed a rising Romanian tennis star named Simona Halep.  Simona first burst on to the world tennis scene in 2008 during the French Open.  At that time, the reason for much of the attention was her 34DD breasts. Unfortunately her chest was giving her major back pain. In 2009, Simona underwent breast reduction surgery and went from a 34DD to a smaller 34c cup.

Halep stated "My ability to react quickly was worse, and my breasts made me uncomfortable," Halep said. "It's the weight that troubles me. My breasts made me uncomfortable when I play." [Huffington Post]

Since having the surgery, her tennis game has improved so much, that she rose 450 points in the world standings and is now ranked at 57th in the world. Even though she lost a few days ago to Serena Williams in the second round at Wimbledon, this 19 year old woman has a bright future ahead of her in the tennis world.
