The Buffalo Sabres roster overhaul continues this off-season, as the team announced Tuesday that they have traded forward Alex Nylander to the Chicago Blackhawks for defenseman, Henri Jokiharju.

Nylander was the eighth overall pick for the Sabres back in the 2016 NHL entry draft and is the son of former NHL star forward, Michael Nylander, along with being the younger brother of current NHL forward William Nylander (Toronto Maple Leafs).

Nylander spent most of his time with the Rochester Americans of the AHL over the past three seasons, only appearing in 19 games for the blue and gold.

Henri Jokiharju was arguably Chicago's best defenseman prospect and yet another key piece to a retooled defense for the Sabres. He was picked 29th overall in the 2017 draft.
