I love seafood and I also love anything Cajun. It's such a good blend of flavors when you combine seafood and slightly spicy seasoning for a one-of-a-kind taste.

Here in Western New York, we have an over-abundance of amazing restaurants, spanning a lot of different styles of cooking. However, Cajun isn't really something we're known for. There are options though and if you're looking for a cool place to try, then this is definitely the place.

Chester's Cajun Grill is located on Cleveland Dr. in Cheektowaga and is without a doubt one of the most underrated restaurants in the Buffalo area.

If you remember, Chester's used to be on Transit Rd. in East Amherst, but they're now in Cheektowaga and serving up great Cajun seafood classics like shrimp Po'Boys, catfish, gumbo, jambalaya, red beans, and rice, something that not many places have; crawfish.

I remember a long time ago -- we're talking at least 10 years or more, I went to Chester's based on what I read on an old food blog and I was blown away. I recently went there again and yes, it's still great.

I'm a huge seafood fan and Cajun cuisine is so unique and should have more options in Western New York. If you know where to go, then you can find it for sure, but it's not like wings, beef on weck, or pasta, where you can find a few hundred options in the Buffalo region.

We definitely need more Cajun seafood restaurants in Buffalo.
