Sean McDermott’s Will Skip Coaching in NFL Next Year?
Sean McDermott is likely not going to be coaching in the National Football League next year.
At the height of the NFL Coaching job openings, there were 10 head coaching positions, but when Terry Pegula fired Sean McDermott, a lot of those positions had already been deep in their hunt with a few even signing the positions.
Sources say that Sean McDermott is "likely" to not even coach next year. It would make sense if he does not find a job that is perfect for him. He is now one of the most desirable on the market coaches for teams, some of which, are probably wishing that he was available before they hired someone else.
There are only 4 NFL Head Coaching jobs that are opened right now left.
McDermott's family still lives in Orchard Park
His kids go to high school here, their family is very involved with the community and it would be understandable that he does not want to just rush into any non-perfect opening. As of right now, there have been no confirmed talks from any team that Sean McDermott has anything lined up, or even interest in coaching next year.
Take a look at the video below.
The Buffalo Bills have started interviewing quite a few candidates and will still do so within the next couple of weeks possibly even after the Super Bowl. Philips Rivers has interviewed for the head coaching position, but insiders think that even if he does not get the job, he will still somehow be part of the coaching staff.
