An end of an era for Sears in Western New York is looming for 2017.

The company revealed on Wednesday that it will be shutting it's doors on multiple locations around the Buffalo area.

I was just shopping at the Walden Galleria location before Christmas and was impressed with the amount of tools in the Craftsman department. As a matter of fact, I told Dale that the variety was some of the best I had seen at a Sears in a long time.

Although the news isn't good for those that shop Walden Galleria and Boulevard locations, Sears will stay open at the Eastern Hills Mall and the McKinley Mall.

The good news is that a store liquidation sale will start on Jan.6 at both locations that will be closing.
