Buffalo is an amazing city for a ton of reasons, but the most significant reason is the people who have built up the community we live in today. Buffalo has seen a resurgence in recent years, and that's thanks to hard-working men and women who have put their passions to work for Western New York.

The goal of our newest segment, Shiftwork, is to highlight those movers and shakers in Buffalo and beyond who have put in the work to make our community as great as it is. We are teaming up one of Buffalo's greatest philanthropists, Russell Salvatore of Russell's Steaks, Chops and More, to bring you the very best of Buffalo business.

Each month we will highlight a different entrepreneur--I'll get a chance to chat with them to discuss how they've gotten where they are, the steps that got them there, and what the city of Buffalo means to them.

I was pleasantly surprised at how open and sincere Russell was during our chat. If you are an aspiring business person or someone that would like to do well with your company, Russell Salvatore is the perfect person to emulate.

Inspiration can come in many forms. I won't ever own a restaurant. But I do try to be the best I can be in every aspect of my life and after speaking with Russell, I realized that you truly do get back what you give.
