Since 1964, no human has ever ridden a bicycle on the I-190 in Buffalo, New York and that will change this weekend.

The weather looks good and the plan is in place for the return of the annual "SkyRide"!

There is still time to sign up and be a part of this historic moment!

According to a Facebook post from Gobike Buffalo, "Don't miss your chance to be one of the first humans to ever ride a bike on the 190, and then enjoy a big old party at the Outer Harbor afterward"!

This is such a great tradition and the organizers have done a fantastic job of creating new and exciting ways to enjoy the SkyRide!

The I-190 cuts around the Downtown Buffalo area and was open to traffic in 1964. "Officially, I-190 from I-90 north to New York State Route 384 (NY 384) is named the Niagara Thruway and is part of the New York State Thruway system".

According to their website gobikebuffalo.com, you have until this Friday to register and it is open to all ages!

Riding a bike is such a great way to see Western New York up close. Perhaps you have driven the 190 often or use it to get to work each day? You might notice some things that you have never seen when you are doing 55 mph in a car!

Get your bike ready and enjoy this historic moment with friends!
