Some Hopeful News For a White Christmas in Buffalo
It's doesn't truly feel like the holiday season unless there's cold temperatures. We're not talking crazy cold, but 30's will do and snowfall certainly helps you get in that Christmas spirit as well.
This week is definitely not that. The high temperature in Buffalo on Wednesday is expected to be in the low 50's, while we could hit the low 60's on Thursday! That's way too warm for this time of year. The good news is that trend will end by this weekend.
Temperatures should be in the 30's for both Saturday and Sunday, with a rain/snow mix for Saturday. Snow showers could linger into Sunday morning for the Bills game.
What about next week though?
The Weather Channel right now is forecasting temperatures in the 30's for the week of Christmas, and even though it's still far out, the current forecast for Christmas Eve in Buffalo is calling for scattered snow showers and maybe even accumulating snow Christmas Eve night, albeit less than one inch.
Christmas Day looks to be mid-30's with cloudy skies.
Because we're technically more than a week out, this forecast could be altered, but I know many who are relieved the temps will be more seasonable for the week of Christmas, after these crazy warm temperatures we're getting this week and even the tail end of last week.
I rather have 30-35 with a chance of snow every day in December, than crazy warm temps with the heavy winds -- it's just not worth it to me, and it doesn't feel like the holiday season.
