Southtowns Residents, Beware Of This Blacktop Scam

There is a new scam that has popped up in the southtowns that police say you should be aware of.

This scam has been reported by a few residents and police in the Orchard Park area specifically.

According to a report from Metro Source News:

 The department says it's received tips about people going door-to-door trying to get rid of extra blacktop for cheap prices.  If a victim agrees, the work is only partially finished before the scammers ask for more money.

The best way to protect yourself from these scams is to check with The Better Business Bureau first or to do a little extra research by checking reviews online or getting multiple estimates.
