Don't count your chickens until they're hatched.  That's a pretty popular phrase that could have come in handy this past weekend at a St. Bonaventure basketball game.

The men's basketball team was taking on VCU on Saturday and should have won the game, until some unruly fans and a controversial call, sent the game into overtime.

The Bonnies hit a three point shot at the end of the game to put them up with just .4 seconds on the clock.  That's when the fans stormed the court and prompted the refs to call a technical foul.  That allowed Virginia Commonwealth to head to the foul line.  That foul shot tied the game and sent it into overtime.

As you may guess, unfortunately the Bonnies lost that one by 6.

So the question is, whose fault is it?  Did the refs make a poor call?  Or should the crowd be blamed for causing the foul?
