The Stanley Cup is Coming to Western New York
The Stanley Cup is coming to Western New York next week!
Rick Dudley is from Western New York and has been playing or coaching or managing in the NHL since 1969. That is a seriously long time. He's 75 years old and he FINALLY won a cup with the Florida Panthers. When a team wins the Stanley Cup, everyone in the organization gets a chance to bring it back to their hometown.
Dudley is bringing the Stanley Cup to Lewiston, where he lived for 20 years and the people of Western New York are invited to come take a look and visit with the Stanley Cup.

I don’t know how to describe that,” he said. “I don’t get giddy. Like, I’ve won championships before. I’ve never been a guy who gets giddy and rolls around and dances and boogies.”
Dudley, who has lived in Lewiston for 20 years, might leave that to others on Tuesday when he enjoys his day with the Cup at Griffon Brewery and Gastropub on 118 S. Water St., Lewiston.
“It’s just been home for a long time now,” he said. “It just seemed like the right place to do it.”
Now, it's not going to be there forever so make sure you make it a point and go see it and take some pictures with it. Maybe it will bring us some good luck. Wink Wink.
