Stefon Diggs Posts Cryptic Tweets Today; Bills Fans Going Crazy
The real fun starts next week, at least in terms of the NFL off-season.
The start of free agency is next Wednesday and there should be plenty of action, not just with free agent signings but trades as well. It's the busiest six weeks of the off-season -- the start of free agency to the conclusion of the NFL Draft.
The Buffalo Bills have a lot of internal decisions to make about whether or not to re-sign pending free agents, which are decisions which have already been made most likely.
General manager Brandon Beane may decide to make a trade before the NFL Draft as well, but it's likely to bolster a position like wide receiver, certainly not subtract from it.
There are rumors surrounding Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs and maybe he will be traded to the Dallas Cowboys, to play with his little brother, cornerback Trayvon Diggs. This all stemming from the way the playoff run ended against the Cincinnati Bengals, and Diggs leaving the locker room before the media could get a chance to ask questions.
Diggs' Twitter account was at the top of minds' on Wednesday, as he tweeted out some cryptic tweets that have many Bills fans scratching their head.
A Diggs trade is not only unlikely, it's pretty much impossible to happen because of the dead cap hit the Bills would take on in 2023 ($45 million) and the fact Diggs' cap hit is $20 million. It increases to $25 million in 2024.
The Bills will improve the wide receiver position, which they need to do to help Josh Allen. Trading away their only star option at the position would not be advisable.
Diggs' tweets still making people wonder, however.
