Stefon Diggs Gets Falcons Players Wings as a Welcome to Buffalo [VIDEO]
The Buffalo Bills host the Atlanta Falcons today at Highmark Stadium. The meeting is the first between the two teams in Orchard Park since 2005. The previous Bills home game for the Bills against the Falcons was in 2013, but that matchup was played at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
The Bills are playing a Falcons team who is 7-8 and clinging to slim playoff hopes. They do have weapons on the offensive side of the ball, like running back/wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.
Patterson is having a career resurgence in Atlanta, as he's been the featured running back for the Falcons, after spending most of his time in the NFL as a wide receiver and kick returner. He's utilizing himself as both a runner and pass catcher this season.
Patterson started his career with the Minnesota Vikings and used to be teammates with Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Diggs showed his friend and former teammate some love. Buffalo love that is, with a massive amount of wings for Patterson and the Falcons.
Many Bills fans on Twitter wanted to know what Patterson was doing with the forks, as do I. I'm assuming they were only used to pick them up and plate the wings, but tongs are usually what we use in Buffalo.
Patterson is a free agent after this season and he has shown that he has a lot left in the tank, so perhaps this is a good recruiting chip used by Diggs to get him to Buffalo for a 2022 championship run?
Kickoff between the Bills and Falcons is at 1 pm. The Bills can clinch a playoff spot with a win against the Falcons and a Ravens loss, although there are other avenues as well.
