The Buffalo Bisons have announced a new policy affecting not only baseball games at Coca-Cola Field, but all events at the downtown ballpark.  In cooperation with Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Tobacco-Free Erie-Niagara, the use of all tobacco-related products, including chewing tobacco or the use of vapor or e-cigarettes is prohibited.

The policy also includes the James D. Griffin Plaza surrounding the ballpark.  The ball club also reminds fans that once fans exit the ballpark, re-entry is prohibited.  Fans will no longer be allowed to temporarily leave to use tobacco-related products.

Anthony Billoni, the Director of Tobacco-Free Western New York stated "this policy is knocking tobacco out of the park for good. We applaud the Buffalo Bisons for protecting everyone's right to clean, fresh air."

Buffalo Bisons Vice President/General Manager added "the Buffalo Bisons organization is excited to share these new policies, which ensure a fun and comfortable environment for all our fans attending Coca-Cola Field. We want to thank Roswell Park and Tobacco-Free Erie-Niagara for their support in helping us make the ballpark 100% tobacco-free."
