Own One Of These Pools? New York State Under Urgent Warning

While most of us are waking up to cooler air in New York State this week, there is a heatwave that is looming and it is about to get very hot!

There is nothing like cooling off in a pool in the summer. Think about those days of playing fun games like Marco Polo or learning how to swim or just wading in the cool water. It can be so relaxing!

But there is a new warning that has some pool owners on edge this week.

According to multiple reports, there is a recall alert that has been posted for a specific brand of above ground pool.

"RECALL: Bestway, Intex & Polygroup recall 5 million above ground pools 48 inches and taller with compression straps running on the outside of the pool legs that may create a foothold, allowing a child access to the pool; drowning hazard".

Owing a pool is bittersweet. We have a pool in our backyard and with four kids under the age of 9, being in the pool is a perfect and fun way to keep everyone together. However, there is lots of maintenance, various expenses and worries about safety. If you are planning on getting a pool, it really is a fun addition to have to your home.
