Western New York Summer Restaurant Finally Reopens
The last five months have been long and difficult. The winter started out horribly with a lake effect snowstorm that dropped six feet of snow on parts of Buffalo and the south towns, with a historic blizzard crippled the region the week of Christmas.
It's been a roller coaster ride ever since, with bitterly cold temperatures being a storyline on and off.
However, we finally see light at the end of the tunnel. It's April and looking ahead past the Easter weekend, the temperatures will be nothing but 60's and even 70's for next Wednesday through Sunday. By then it will be the third week of April, which means good times and good weather are ahead.
You may have noticed all the ice cream shops opening around Western New York, with some patios starting to open as well. One of the most popular summertime restaurants in Western New York is finally back open for the 2023 season as well.
According to their Facebook page, Taffy's in Orchard Park is officially back open starting today. They will be closed on Easter Sunday, but they will be open for the remainder of the warm-weather season, which should extend into September or October.
Taffy's is located at the famous five corners intersection in Orchard Park, along Orchard Park Road and Southwestern Blvd.
They are known for hot dogs, fries, shakes and much more. The swing benches are iconic and it's a staple for those who live in Orchard Park, West Seneca or Hamburg.
Taffy's back open means we have made it through winter!
